Overview

The Sensors & Software LMX100 Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) System is a powerful, entry-level subsurface imaging tool engineered for professionals who need to locate buried utilities, inspect shallow subsurface structures, and reduce the risk of damage during excavation. Designed by the pioneers of GPR technology, Sensors & Software, the LMX100 offers a cost-effective and intuitive solution without compromising performance or reliability.

Ideal for utility locators, construction crews, civil engineers, and municipal maintenance teams, the LMX100 helps users quickly and confidently detect metallic and non-metallic utilities, voids, and other anomalies in a variety of soil conditions.

Common Applications

The LMX100 GPR system is widely used in:

  • Utility Detection: Locate water pipes, gas lines, electrical conduits, telecom cables, and sewer lines—both metallic and non-metallic.
  • Pre-Excavation Safety Surveys: Identify hidden hazards before trenching, digging, or drilling.
  • Municipal Infrastructure Maintenance: Map and track underground assets for city planning and repairs.
  • Construction Site Assessments: Conduct quick scans to verify safe zones and mark potential obstructions.
  • Environmental and Archaeological Studies: Identify buried objects, voids, or anomalies in sensitive survey areas.

Why Choose the LMX100 Over Electromagnetic (EM) Locators?

While EM locators are great for finding conductive targets, they struggle with non-metallic utilities such as PVC or fiber optics. The LMX100 solves this problem by using GPR technology to detect changes in dielectric properties of subsurface materials, allowing it to find both metallic and non-metallic structures with greater confidence.

This makes the LMX100 an essential companion tool for any utility locator looking to expand their detection capabilities and improve on-site safety.
